Valentine's Day Part 2

I've been a bad blogger. Bad at keeping my blog updated and checking out other blogs. I think my neocounter has expired, too. Anyhoo here is what we've been up to for Valentine's Day. This week I'm doing President's Day and Dr. Seuss the week after. This is my least favorite time of year to teach. Does that sound bad? I love love love fall and spring. Christmas is ok but Jan/Feb/March are my least fav.
Cute art activity that goes with the book below. I had a dad volunteer who spent forever using our dull ellison to cut these hearts out!

WH/SH/TH/CH sort

Counting goodies.

SH/WH/CH/TH pictures that go with the above game.

This was a "Writing Around The Room" activity. Challenging for some. I had a sub do this and several kids were just writing words in any column.

I did one day on nutrition and one day on dental health.  I know, I could spend a week or more on those but I have been out for various reasons and I was getting way behind! The kids wrote a "healthy" grocery list at one of our centers this week.

Counting hearts.

Triple digit addition

"Heartbeats" or syllables.

Matching numbers with number words.
